It isn’t long and Killian has his electric guitar in his hand and he’s center stage at the mic commanding the room. The second he opens his mouth and strums the cords of Ten Tonne Skeleton, the entire room has their eyes on him. To all of our surprise Killian isn’t just good, he’s fricking amazing! Like he should be touring the world kind of good.
I officially think that his cover of that song is now my favorite, and I’m so happy I decided to record the performance with my iPhone because I will want to watch it over and over again.
Each time he smiles down at me, I can’t help but smile back up at him. He has never looked sexier to me than he does right now. It must be that whole rock star thing he has going on right now as he rocks out on stage in black skinny jeans, military boots and the same Guns N’ Roses tee he was wearing earlier. He’s wearing the same black Hurley hat he was wearing when we first met yesterday. There are girls all lined up along the front of the stage dancing and singing along to each song he sings. But Killian spends the entire hour singing straight to me, making his words from last night ring loudly inside of my head. He sees no one but me when I’m in the room.
He looks in his element up there singing to the crowd of party goers. He has them all eating out of the palm of his hand. As I watch him perform the rest of his set though sadness begins to cloud my happy mood. After tonight is over, his time in Newport Beach will be over too. I think the story was okay, things felt too rushed. There's was too much detailed on the unimportant things like what they ate and though but not enough on how their date went. The ending was HFN which I'm not a fan of.
LOVED this!!!! Summer is so full of life and just being herself. Killian is just sexy and mysterious. I love how they come together and truly get to know each other. But when all the secrets are out can they overcome? This was such a sweet and lovely story. I definitely recommend it. This series is getting off to such an amazing start, I cannot wait to see where it goes.
I love these 2, breaks my heart what she had to go through but in a way it's a good thing she did. Made her a stronger person. Killian I don't understand why any parent would want the the life of destruction they live or lived. I'm glad Killian ran away from that. 2 hurting souls brought together by tragedy to live a beautiful life together. Now that's a happy ending. Can't wait for book 3
Danielle brings us yet again another rocker to fall in love with! I loved this book and found myself like always wanting more! Danielle has a way of making you fall in love with her character's and makes you want more! I loved Killian's dark and mysterious personality and Summer's carefree approach on life! Killian is hiding a secret and you will find yourself wondering what that secret is! Killian and Summer's story shows that even when your life has darkness there is always light at the end of the tunnel!
Taking a chance on fate can either teach you a lesson or bring you closer to a love you never knew existed....which will it be?

I was given an Arc in exchange for an honest review. Danielle Jamie is an extremely talanted author that has a special way of making you connect and fall in love with all her characters. Summer and Killian are no different. You'll be on the edge of your seat needing to know what secret Killian is hiding.
Summer is 18 and decided when her mom passed away,due a drug overdose, it was time to start her new life. She packed up her things and moved to California. While working diner she meets the incredibly sexy Killian. Killian is the mysterious man who sings at bars traveling city to city. As soon as Summer and Killian meet there is an instant spark that ignites in both them. After spending a few days together Killian asks Summer to go on the road with him. Summer decides to follow her heart and they set out on their journey. While Killian and Summer are enjoying their time together the past comes back to collect Killian to go back to it. When Summer finds out Killian has been lying and keeping secrets will she be able to stand by him or simply walk away?
Great story of always looking for the happiness! Summer reminds us to just be happy. As if smiles are contagious and it is our mission in life to contaminate the world! I'm a glass overflowing (not half full or half empty) type myself ;) And now a bit about the story...
